Presentation: Evolution: The evolving role of the BA at SA Power Networks
In the past decade the way that South Australians source and share energy has been evolving. The adoption of new technologies, such as rooftop solar panels and batteries, is turning many customers into electricity generators and changing how they utilise the electricity network. Customers are also demanding much more from the network than ever before. They want more and different services, such as the ability to trade their surplus energy, and these changing demands are placing significant pressure on the stability and reliability of our network which is the oldest in the National Electricity Market.
To respond to these and other challenges SA Power Networks has a large team of Business Analysts supporting its projects and programs of work. The majority of these are contractors. Have you ever wondered what types of attributes, skills and experience an organisation like SA Power Networks values in its Business Analysts? What are the qualities that make a Business Analyst successful in this type of environment? How is the role of Business Analyst evolving to meet the challenges within SA Power Networks? How do we anticipate it will continue to evolve? This presentation explores these questions and considers them in the context of the evolving role of the Business Analyst.
